Alexandra Parade Station Platform 1 Rebuild
Network Rail, with its contractors AmcoGiffen, will soon begin essential upgrade work to rebuild Platform 1 at Alexandra Parade station in Glasgow's East End.
The £1.75 million investment involves the demolition of the existing platform, the construction of a new platform and the installation of new lighting and CCTV for the whole station. This work will provide a modern, safer platform for passengers with improved lighting and CCTV coverage.
The work, part of the Scottish Government’s ongoing investment in Scotland’s Railway will start on 16 December 2024 until 31 May 2025.
The site compound will be, for the duration of the project, at the bottom of Birkenshaw Street in Dennistoun. We have a Track Access Point here, which allows us access to the track to undertake the platform works along at the station. Please see diagram which shows the location of the compound and its layout.
